On December 10 finally arrives the flag ship from Shooto Germany back: SHOOTO KINGS IX: Sengoku will be in the Gym 24 Lifestyle held in Herrenberg and brings back some of the outstanding German Shooto fighters in the Octagon.
German championships in Shooto as a supporting program
Traditionally, the German championships in Shooto the preliminary program for SHOOTO KINGS. During the day, the most talented and strongest amateurs will fight for the titles in the D and C class to recommend themselves for the national team of Shooto Germany or even a professional career. All final fights of the German Championships will be held from 8 pm in the undercard of SHOOTO KINGS and broadcast live worldwide.
The return of Sven "Fujin" Fortenbacher
One of the most successful professional shooters in Germany is Sven "Fujin" Fortenbacher from Reutlingen. The 2018 Shidokan professional world champion was victorious at SHOOTO KINGS 8 and 9, beating opponents from Ukraine and Italy. He capped a guest appearance at the BJJ Odawara Open in Japan with a gold medal and also secured a bronze medal at the All Japan Shidokan Open in Tokyo. Corona then put an abrupt end to the Shidokan Blackbelt's "run." But he has not been idle and has attracted attention especially at ADCC Germany. So the feared striker has been working on his ground game and closing gaps in his game to face strong competition again at SHOOTO KINGS. The No. 1 of the P4P Shooto Germany Rankings with the pros is sure to sweep the audience off its feet again!
Shooto Queen Tanja Angerer is ready for new challenges
She has already fought in Japan in Shooto for the professional world title and is thus the first and so far only German MMA athlete who was allowed to fight at such a level in Shooto. Through her victory against the Japanese Sayuri Yamaguchi at SHOOTO KINGS IV she recommended herself for the first time for professional fights in Japan. After beating Daichi Date at DEEP Jewels, she earned a spectacular draw against RIZIN veteran Mika Nagano. And of course she is also one of the regulars at SHOOTO KINGS and so it is not surprising that she is again on the fight card for the ninth edition.
Fighters from home and abroad get a chance
SHOOTO KINGS is certainly a stepping stone to recommend yourself for international fights, as the careers of Judith Ruis (Bellator), Markus Held (Professional Shooto Japan) and the two aforementioned fighters have already shown. Who convinces here by performance has good chances to stand soon on a big international fightcard.
