Shooto European Championships 2022

SHOOTO is back in Europe!

Shooto is also coming back on a European level! As announced internally yesterday, this year's Shooto European Amateur Championships will take place on 02.07.2022 in Utrecht (Netherlands). Martijn de Jong, President of Shooto Europe will announce exact details about the registration and the event itself in the coming days. Of course we will be here on Kakutogi report about it.

The annual Shooto European Championships are probably the most important amateur MMA event in Europe. After the last European Championships 2019 were still held in Germany before Corona, the European Championships return for the first time after the pandemic back to the cradle of Shooto in Europe and will be held in Utrecht.

Shooto Germany National Team

Despite the short preparation time would also like Shooto Germany of course send an official national team to Holland. At Shooto "Rookies VIII Today in Reutlingen the last points for the rankings will be collected and already next week a selection of promising fighters from Germany will be contacted.

Since the European Championships are open, any interested amateur MMA fighter can start. In contrast, the fighters of the national team will be equipped and will also be reimbursed parts of the costs. In addition, they will be supervised by a coaching and support staff of Shooto Germany at this competition.

Tomorrow's fights will reveal who will ultimately be fielded for the national team in each weight class.
