Sensei Grigori Winizki, head coach of the Samurai Fight Team Leipzigis a well-known face in Germany's MMA and grappling scene. The Shidokan European and World Champion is a brown belt in Luta Livre and BJJ and also reigning ADCC German Nationals Champion. Also as an MMA fighter Grigori is at Shooto Germany extremely active. And he brings the grappling community in Germany an extremely innovative and groundbreaking event concept closer: a triathlon in grappling and MMA!

Model is the Shidokan Triathlon

Grigori is an extremely successful striker and MMA fighter. Already at the first amateur world championships of the Japanese K-1 league he won the silver medal at the first attempt. However, his heart beats for the Shidokan, the infamous triathlon of martial arts. Here, the first round is fought according to full-contact karate rules, before the second round is fought according to Thaibox rules and then finally MMA rules in the third round. In 2018, Grigori was runner-up in this discipline at the World Professional Championships in Ukraine and has been among the world's top Shidokan fighters for almost 10 years.

The Shidokan Triathlon inspired him to experiment with a triathlon in the grappling arts. Who is the best all-rounder and has the greatest fighting spirit? This question can be clarified at the Samurai Cup 2023 in Leipzig.

Samurai Cup 2023 in BJJ, Luta Livre and Shooto in every fight

Yes, you read that right. Three different disciplines in one fight to put the grappling and fight skills of the athletes through their paces. Only who is strong in each area can win here. The first round is fought in the Gi according to BJJ rules. If there is no submission in this round, the gi will be taken off in the second round and the fight will be in Luta Livre. If there is no submission in this round either, the third and last round will be fought according to Shooto rules in MMA. Here is then a victory by submission or KO/TKO possible.
