The brackets to the Interclub VIII

"Alea jacta est" or "The die is cast," because the Brackets for the already eighth interclub tournament of the German Top Team and the affiliated schools are created. Tomorrow, Sunday, grapplers from Würzburg, Kempten, Neckarweihingen, Nürtingen, Wernau, Grünsfeld, Bonlanden and of course Reutlingen will stand in the Octagon of the Academy in Reutlingen and fight for the coveted medals. Quasi as a dress rehearsal for the "Shooto Cup" on 30.11. in Reutlingen the athletes want to gain valuable experience again and sound out the weak points in their game.

Especially with the "Beginner" and white belts the acceptance for this internal club tournament is very big, because you have the possibility to start in four classes for "small money" and accordingly the chances for many fights are high. The record is currently 13 fights in one day (Sven Fortenbacher) and if you see that the champions of the Interclub also get gold at major events such as the NAGA, UAEJJF, ADCC and most recently Sven Fortenbacher at the Odawara BJJ Open in Japan, then the concept of the tournament definitely works. It is about gaining as much experience as possible on the mat, which is then usually the tipping point in major competitions.

So for tomorrow again almost 50 fights are scheduled and from 13 clock it goes around in the Octagon in Reutlingen. We wish all fighters a good journey and as injury-free fights as possible.
