All eyes on: Christina Brauchle

Another lady from Team Luis Palharez Germany, which is affiliated with the German Top Team, has been causing quite a stir for a few years now, especially in grappling and jiu-jitsu: Christina Brauchle from Kempten. No matter which IBJJF tournament in Germany you take - Christina has certainly fought there and has most likely been on the podium (mostly at the top). But also at NAGA or ADCC she is very active and successful. Last year she won the NAGA Germany belt as well as the gold medal at the ADCC Hungarian Open and is a constant force in grappling from a German point of view.

But Christina is contrary to the first impression not a "pure" grappler, but a real all-rounder. Parallel to BJJ and Luta Livre, she has also been training and fighting in amateur boxing for years, and what could be more natural than for the power woman from Kempten to compete in Shooto? She made her first attempt two years ago at the Shooto European Championships in Metzingen, but lost to an extremely strong Swiss in the final without being able to show what she can do. She made up for that (also hastily) this year when she competed again at very short notice at the European Championships in Reutlingen and faced a strong Frenchwoman. After two hard rounds, in which she dominated the fight skillfully and tactically clever, she fulfilled a long-cherished dream with the gold medal and thus qualified for participation in this year's All Japan Shooto Championships in Odawara (Japan).

Together with her teams in Pfronten, which is managed by her husband Daniel Brauchle, and Memmingen, but also on numerous occasions for sparring and training sessions at the German Top Team HQ in Reutlingen, she is now preparing for the upcoming and biggest task of her career so far. But she can count on the experience and routine of her teammates Judith Ruis and Tanja Angerer, who both have already completed professional fights in Japan and are among the strongest women in MMA in Germany. With her, the next woman from the German Top Team after Kristin Angerer, Tanja Angerer and Judith Ruis, makes the big leap to Japan! We keep our fingers crossed for Christina and will actively support her in achieving her goals.
